Roig Lawyers Continues Expansion with the Addition of Three Litigation Attorneys in Deerfield Beach and Tampa

Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned, multi-practice litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across six offices throughout Florida, is pleased to welcome Staci L. Burton and Ursula C. Cogswell to the firm’s Deerfield Beach office and William E. Kirilloff to the firm’s Tampa office.

“Our firm has experienced tremendous growth within the past year, and the addition of Staci, Ursula, and William will strengthen our litigation group and our firm as a whole,” said firm managing partner, Michael A. Rosenberg.

Staci rejoins Roig Lawyers where she began her legal career. Staci concentrates her practice on Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation. Prior to joining Roig Lawyers, Staci practiced family law in West Palm Beach, representing clients in a wide range of complex marital and family law matters. Staci has been actively involved in the legal community, serving on numerous committees and holding positions of leadership within both the State and local Bar organizations. She was also a founding member of the Susan Greenberg Family Law American Inn of Court of the Palm Beaches. Staci is a graduate of Florida State University (B.S., magna cum laude, 2009) and Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center (J.D., summa cum laude, 2012).

Ursula is a litigation attorney with experience in diverse areas of law as well as jury trial experience. Ursula has handled first-party property insurance defense cases, fraud cases, personal injury cases and PIP cases. She has successfully litigated motions for summary judgment on fraud, standing, late notice, and Medicare Part B Fee Schedule. As a foreclosure defense attorney, she litigated over 100 motions for summary judgment. Ursula has also successfully tried criminal cases such as extortion. She also has appellate experience and has successfully drafted an appellee’s answer brief in a family law case and an appeal on insufficient evidence on a 5-year conviction case. Ursula is a graduate of Florida International University (B.S. with honors, 1996) and University of Miami School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2000).

William concentrates his practice on Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault and commercial litigation. William has litigated in jurisdictions throughout Florida for multiple insurance carriers and has worked with small businesses in drafting commercial documents and advising them in other commercial matters. While attending law school, William interned for the Honorable Waddell Wallace III where he conducted legal research on legal malpractice, complex commercial litigation, complex real estate partition actions, immigration, DUI appeals, domestic violence, foreclosures, civil forfeitures, contract disputes, rental disputes, and personal injury cases. He is a graduate of Auburn University (B.S., cum laude, 2007) and Florida Coastal School of Law (J.D., 2012).
