ROIG Lawyers Attorney Volunteers at UCF Moot Court Invitational

October 13, 2015

Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned, multi-practice litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across six offices throughout Florida, is pleased to announce that, Jessica Y. Fano will be participating as a volunteer judge at the 1st Annual University of Central Florida (UCF) Moot Court Invitation on October 17-18, 2015.

UCF’s inaugural tournament will allow students the opportunity to compete with one another in realistic simulated court proceedings, which involve drafting briefs and participating in oral arguments. “I am thrilled to take part in such an exercise that provides students with the fundamentals and practice of law while giving back to my alma mater”, says Fano.

The Moot Court Organization at UCF is an undergraduate pre-law program that aims to develop students’ skills in critical thinking, public speaking, and written argumentation. The goal of this organization is to promote the study of law within the school, community, and state by fostering an intellectual curiosity in law.

Fano concentrates her practice in the areas of Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault Litigation and Fraud (SIU) Investigations. She assists with handling complex provider litigation cases in identifying and investigating fraudulent claims. She is also experienced in the use of alternative dispute resolution techniques, including mediation and arbitration, as a means of litigation avoidance. Fano received her B.S. in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida.
