Roig Lawyers Sponsors the 12th Annual Kozyak Minority Mentoring Picnic

October 26, 2015

Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned multi-practice litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across six offices throughout Florida, is a proud sponsor of the 12th Annual Kozyak Minority Mentoring Picnic (KMMP) at Amelia Earhart Park on October 31, 2015.

Every year judges, established lawyers, and law students throughout the state of Florida come together at this yearly event. This annual picnic gives diverse law students an arena to network with lawyers and judges from all areas of Florida and the legal profession in an informal and fun environment. All who attend will have an unparalleled opportunity to find a mentor or mentee that best suits their specialty of law.

“It is an honor to take part in this tradition that fosters diversity and inclusion throughout our legal community,” said founding partner, Fernando L. Roig.

Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation was created with the vision of building an effective pathway to diversity in the legal profession by providing opportunities and support to minority and women law students through mentoring programs, networking and fellowships. “I believe mentoring is a powerful tool in addressing the need to improve diversity in the legal profession for all minority groups and particularly Africa- American lawyers,” says foundation partner, John W. Kozyak. KMMP recruits and assists experienced lawyers and judges to mentor black law students attending law schools in Florida.
