Lourdes handles all types of Property Insurance Defense matters, such as claims denied under policy exclusions, claims denied due to failure to comply with policy conditions, and claims wherein the issued payment and the amount of recovery due remains in dispute. Lourdes handles cases from inception through all phases of the litigation process including preparation for trial and use of alternative dispute resolution techniques when necessary.
Prior to joining Roig Lawyers, Lourdes gained experience in first and third party property insurance claims at a plaintiff’s law firm. While in law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Antonio Arzola where she gained valuable experience conducting legal research and drafting memorandums. Lourdes was a Guardian ad Litem for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida prior to practicing law. She handled a caseload advocating for the best interest of children in dependency and family proceedings.
Lourdes earned her Juris Doctorate from the St. Thomas University School of Law in 2015 and her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in 2008.
