Nishant P. Patel

Nishant P. Patel is an associate in the Orlando office of Roig Lawyers.

Nishant concentrates his practice on Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation and Bodily Injury (BI) Defense. He worked for the firm as a law clerk prior to joining the firm as an attorney.

Nishant has handled personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation cases from the inception of each case. Nishant is a former certified legal intern for the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office where he participated and conducted evidentiary hearings and trials, presented opening and closing arguments for a number of cases, and defended criminal cases in the felony division, from inception to trial phase of each case.

Nishant served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Lester Langer where he attended hearings on motions for civil cases and mortgage foreclosure cases and researched procedural and substantive issues regarding foreclosure law. He also has experience in entertainment law working on a case involving a high profile celebrity. He conducted research and drafted memoranda pertaining to the case. Nishant has interned for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and researched substantive and procedural issues dealing with criminal law including search and seizure, Miranda rights, and police identification/lineup issues.
