Ed’s presentation, “Ten Things Health Care Providers Should Do to Reduce Medical Malpractice Exposure,” will include a few lessons he has learned from over a decade as a litigator who has brought medical malpractice claims to trial and as a risk management advisor who has counseled teaching hospitals, individual physicians, nursing homes, and hospices, highlighting and discussing ten suggested practices that healthcare providers – including hospitals – can do in order to reduce the risk of medical malpractice liability. The suggestions will include actions that can be taken by clinical staff, risk management professionals, administrators, in-house counsel, and outside counsel.
