ROIG Lawyers Partner Successfully Obtained Dismissal for Defendant

April 1, 2016

Currie v. South Broward Hospital District

Jenna T. Hackman successfully obtained a dismissal for fraud and sanctions for the Defendant after outlining all of the Plaintiff’s false statements. The Plaintiff was a visitor to the medical office building and claimed originally that the elevator doors closed on her hand, trapping it for seconds and causing injuries to her wrist. She further alleged the injury caused her to miss eight weeks of work as a school bus driver. However, after re-reviewing the video, we observed the Plaintiff walking into the elevator without incident. Further, we were able to show she missed work due to other medical reasons. The Plaintiff’s attorney dismissed the case immediately.
