Three Roig Lawyers Attorneys Promoted to Partner

Roig Lawyers is pleased to announce the promotion of Dawn M. Carsten in Jacksonville, FL, John S. Leinicke, LHRM in Miami, FL and Patricia G. Preciado in Deerfield Beach, FL.

About the New Partners

Dawn Carsten joined the firm in 2012 and since that time has taken the lead as the firm’s representative in Jacksonville, FL. Ms. Carsten concentrates her practice in the area of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation, Examination Under Oath and Windshield claims litigation. She handles PIP claims on behalf of insurance carriers and evaluates cases for various issues, including but not limited to, necessity of medical treatment, relatedness of medical treatment to automobile accidents, and reasonableness of medical charges.

John Leinicke joined the firm in 2013 and since that time has become a Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager and is working on becoming board certified in the area of Healthcare. Mr. Leinicke primarily focuses on first party litigation, fraud investigation, and statutory compliance issues involving medical licensure. He has experience in the practice areas of medical malpractice and product liability. He also has extensive experience handling Examinations Under Oath (EUO). Mr. Leinicke is also the current president of the Dade County Defense Bar Association, South Florida’s oldest voluntary civil defense bar organization.

Patricia Preciado joined the firm in 2013 as well and since that time has become Co-Chair of the firm’s Homeowners/Property Practice. Ms. Preciado manages all types of Property Insurance Defense matters, such as claims denied pursuant to policy exclusions, claims denied pursuant to failure to comply with policy conditions, and claims wherein payment was issued and the amount of recovery due remains in dispute. During her file handling, she comprehensively and objectively reviews all aspects of the claim handling to determine the most efficient way to handle the defense of each particular matter. Ms. Preciado handles cases through all phases of the litigation process and is experienced in the use of alternative dispute resolution techniques when necessary.
