About
The team at Roig Lawyers serves as trial counsel in insurance defense matters for corporations and insurance companies and acts as litigation counsel in civil disputes for business entities and individuals. Our clients have access to more than 50 lawyers and 100-plus support staff in six conveniently located offices, who manage and resolve claims, detect insurance fraud, and take cases to trial or appeal.
Our work covers the plethora of insurance defense issues, from bodily injury, homeowners, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice, to premises liability, (PIP)/no-fault and uninsured motorist, fraud investigations, coverage disputes, and more—much, much more. In fact. we’ve probably worked on nearly every known type of insurance claim that has ever been filed in Florida. Learn more about our extensive practice experience here.
Fresh Approach
As a minority-owned firm, our core strengths lie in our diversity, adaptability, original thinking, and collegiality. Clients say we’re different; we’re approachable; we’re strategic. We don’t follow the same model as other insurance defense and commercial litigation practices. Instead, we offer a fresh approach to case management and problem solving where others fall short. For example, we have discrete technology and infrastructure that allow us to support thousands of insurance cases at any given time, both complex and routine. Our proprietary analytic software gives us the ability to capture, sort and analyze data to root out potential insurance fraud or provide our clients up to 90 days’ advance notice before they are served with a lawsuit.
Clients appreciate that our teams are receptive to differing opinions and ideas, and eager to involve them in the process. We are unafraid to adjust to evolving expectations and constantly fine-tune our systems and approaches to achieve desired results, even at affordable rates. Our combined experience, insight, and strong industry connections put us at the forefront of legal trends and state-wide policies. We take our responsibility to help clients navigate challenges and anticipate future obstacles seriously while seizing opportunities to quickly and successfully resolve their cases.
Uncommon Character
The Roig Lawyers firm has a diverse mix of clients with a cross-section of experiences, and we do, too. As a Certified Minority Business Enterprise, our professionals are a melting pot of backgrounds, cultures, and views. We understand first-hand the importance of embracing our diversity for the benefit of our teams and our clients. We use different techniques, tools, perspectives, and ways of thinking about cases that often lead to exceptional results.
Perhaps our most valued attribute is our people-first attitude in all that we do. We are the antithesis of lawyers who sit behind mahogany desks, detached from clients and the world around them. Instead, our firm purposefully focuses on being accessible, responsive, and personable. We invest off-the-clock time in getting to know our clients and their businesses, and work to understand their challenges and preferences. This extra step adds value because it enables us to provide proactive solutions to our clients’ most pressing matters, sometimes even before they ask for our help.
Consistent Experience
Our lawyers build relationships and partnerships with clients—some exceeding the 20-year mark. We enjoy this aspect of our practice and believe such relationships deliver optimal legal and business outcomes.
We cover the entire state of Florida intentionally because we want to support clients whether cases are in Jacksonville or Miami. Although a different office or attorney may be assigned to a matter, clients will always have that one lawyer they know, like, and trust at the helm to efficiently communicate their business, goals, and preferences to the team. Everyone who works on the client team will know you, your organization, and your objectives, ensuring a consistent experience across the board and throughout every matter.
Be assured that we hold ourselves accountable to client expectations, whether in timely reporting, an ideal resolution amount, a resolution date, or other. Your lawyer will sit with you regularly to address your cases, concerns, and desired approaches and outcomes. Our clients know they can pick up the phone and speak business with their lawyer at any time on any day (as long as they promise to first share the details of their kid’s hat-trick at last weekend’s soccer match).
Community Involvement
In keeping with the principles of our founder, Fernando L. Roig, the firm’s original core values of loyalty, integrity, diversity, and teamwork also inform our community values. We strive to honor this legacy every day, in every way, not only in our law practice but also in serving our communities throughout Florida. We believe our contributions to nonprofit organizations can make a difference in how we feed the hungry; empower the homeless; provide opportunities for children, youth, and veterans; cure diseases; support the arts, and more.
These are just a few organizations our firm, lawyers, and staff have contributed to, either physically or financially, or both.
