This course will discuss the different laws, conditions and exclusions found in other States Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/ First Party (No-Fault) Benefits Statutes and how they will affect a claim and subsequent litigation in Florida. Areas to be discussed include the States who have mandatory PIP Statutes versus choice PIP or First Party benefits Statutes; the different conditions precedents and time limitations within those Statutes; Statute of Limitations; Fee Schedules; Interest; and Attorney’s Fees.
