Dynamic Duo Present at 20th Annual Florida Liability Claims Conference

ROIG Lawyers is a proud sponsor of the 20th Annual Florida Liability Claims Conference (FLCC) at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on June 8-11. Partner Mark J. Rose and attorney Patricia G. Preciado will be presenting a 5-hour course on “Law and Ethics Update- 5-620” for adjusters.

The course will be split into five breakout sessions on June 9th & 10th. The course is intended to inform and update insurance adjusters on the logistics involved in obtaining, keeping, and renewing their respective licenses. Rose & Preciado will also provide adjusters with updates in the relevant laws, updates in ethical requirements, and instruction on recent disciplinary trends.

The 2016 FLCC is presented by the Florida Liability Claims Institute in cooperation with the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (FDLA). Attendees at the conference are exposed to cutting-edge continuing education courses and have the opportunity to interact with claims professionals and defense attorneys.

About the Attorneys

Mark concentrates his practice in Personal Injury Protection (PIP), fraud (SIU) investigations and No-Fault litigation, business litigation, and the defense of homeowner’s insurance claims. He frequently speaks and writes on trends in the legal industry. Mark recently co-presented a CLE session titled “Legal Ethics in a Connected World: Portable Devices, Social Media and the Cloud” hosted by The Florida Bar. He also co-presented at the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (FDLA) Annual Conference on the topic of Social Media Discovery. He served as a keynote speaker at the 2013 America’s Claims Event in Austin, Texas, on the topic of Six Sigma and claims management. His article, “Six Sigma, Meet Claims: A Primer on the Methodology and Its Promise” was published by Claims Magazine in January 2013.

Patricia concentrates her practice in the areas of Property Insurance Defense and Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation. She manages all types of Property Insurance Defenses matters, such as claims denied pursuant to policy exclusions, claims denied pursuant to failure to comply with policy conditions, and claims wherein payment was issued and the amount of recovery due remains in dispute. Patricia has also presented courses on “Public Adjusters & SIU” and “Examinations Under Oath and the Law” to Assurant.
