ROIG Lawyers Attorney Appointed Judge Advocate for American Legion Post 29

Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned multi-practice litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across six offices throughout Florida, is pleased to announce that Bahreddine “Bobby” Hannat has been appointed Post Judge Advocate for American Legion Harvey W. Seeds Post 29 located in Miami.

The primary duty of the Post Judge Advocate is to advise the Post, Post Officers, and Executive Board on all legal matters, including the construction and interpretation of the Legion constitutions and bylaws, to ensure the proper conduct of post business, and to procure proper counsel on behalf of the Post. The Post Judge Advocate is to preside over all trials, with the power and authority to pass upon the materiality and relevancy of all evidence as well as the power to prescribe the rules and procedures of the trial. Post Judge Advocate also serves as the Chairman of the Legal and By-Laws Committees and is tasked with the duty of auditing all Post financial accounts.

Hannat served as an enlisted soldier from 2001-2004 with the U.S. Army. In April of 2003, he deployed to Iraq with the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division. The majority of his pro bono work is devoted to the legal representation of military veterans.

As America’s largest wartime veterans organization, the American Legion is committed to mentoring and sponsorship of wholesome programs in the community, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. With over 300 active members, Post 29 is heavily involved in promoting American Legion’s mission in the Miami community.
