ROIG Lawyers is a proud sponsor of the HistoryMiami Museum’s 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society Law Day Panel, The 14th Amendment: Transforming American Democracy. In commemoration of Law Week, the panel takes place on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00 pm in the HistoryMiami Museum Theater. The historic conversation with renowned panelists will discuss topics of citizenship rights and equal protection under the laws for former slaves will be juxtaposed with hot button issues both uniting and dividing our nation today.
The panel will be moderated by 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society Chair, Jermaine A. Lee, Esq. and panelists include Judge Milton Hirsch (Eleventh Circuit of Florida), Judge Thomas Logue (Third District Court of Appeal), and Professor Rebecca Sharpless (University of Miami School of Law).
