Ava Natalia Bravo is Of Counsel at Roig Lawyers with more than 30 years of legal experience and an extensive background in litigation, trial advocacy, negotiation, and case management. Licensed to practice in California and Nevada, Ava has tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict over the course of her career. Her experience spans civil insurance defense, high-exposure litigation, criminal defense and prosecution, and other complex matters requiring skilled courtroom advocacy and strategic case management.

A seasoned trial attorney, Ava brings decades of courtroom experience to her practice. Prior to joining Roig Lawyers, she served as Senior Counsel with a civil insurance defense litigation firm, where she defended clients in high-exposure matters, including wrongful death litigation. Her career also includes extensive public-sector trial experience, including more than two decades as a Senior Deputy District Attorney in Orange County, California.

Ava is known for her ability to manage complex and demanding caseloads while developing effective litigation strategies tailored to the circumstances of each matter. Her extensive trial background provides her with a practical perspective on case evaluation, preparation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Ava brings more than three decades of legal and trial experience to Roig Lawyers. Most recently, she served as Senior Counsel with Tyson & Mendes LLC, a civil insurance defense litigation firm in Las Vegas, where she defended clients in high-exposure civil litigation, including wrongful death matters.

Earlier in her career, Ava spent more than 20 years as a Senior Deputy District Attorney in Orange County, California. In that role, she prosecuted special victims’ cases, managed significant caseloads involving violent offenders, and tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict.

 

Ava has also served as Chief Deputy Special Public Defender in Clark County, Nevada, handling serious criminal matters involving potential life sentences and capital punishment. Her experience includes collaborating with counsel on complex litigation strategies and mitigation efforts. She has also represented children in the foster care system as minors’ counsel with the Children’s Law Center in Los Angeles, where she managed a caseload of more than 150 matters.

In addition to her work in private practice, Ava has served as court-appointed counsel through the Nevada Department of Indigent Defense Services and as contract counsel for the Las Vegas Justice Court. Her diverse legal background has given her extensive experience assessing complex matters, managing substantial caseloads, negotiating resolutions, and advocating for clients in the courtroom.

Ava earned her Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California. She has been a California Certified Criminal Law Specialist since 2013 and is licensed in California and Nevada. She is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
