Miguel R. Roura

With more than 15 years of courtroom experience and over thirty trials to verdict, Miguel R. Roura has built a reputation as a tenacious trial lawyer and trusted advisor to insurance companies facing complex litigation and fraud investigations. 

Miguel R. Roura concentrates his practice on Automobile Liability Litigation and Fraud Investigations for Special Investigation Units (SIU). Since March of 2023, Miguel carved out a niche Interpleader and pre-suit Global Settlement practice. He also defends clients involving bodily injury, uninsured motorist claims, property damage, automobile windshield claims, and Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation. Over the course of his career, Miguel has tried more than thirty cases in both circuit and county courts and is also experienced in mediation and arbitration as effective alternatives to trial. 

Miguel’s litigation skills were shaped early in his career as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, where he gained significant courtroom experience prosecuting criminal cases. Before joining Roig Lawyers, he practiced at an insurance defense firm in St. Petersburg. While in law school at Stetson University College of Law, he served as Recent Developments Editor for the Stetson Law Review and was honored with the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges distinction. 

In addition to his litigation practice, Miguel is approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services to teach continuing education courses for insurance companies, adjusters, and investigators.
