Abbi Freifeld Carr

Abbi F. Carr is a partner in the Deerfield Beach office of Roig Lawyers and Co-Chair of the firm’s Appellate Division. Her practice focuses on first-party property litigation and appellate advocacy, representing some of Florida’s largest insurers in complex coverage disputes and post-judgment matters throughout the state.

Abbi has extensive experience defending both first-party and third-party automobile insurance claims, including coverage disputes, bodily injury litigation, and Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault matters. She regularly advises insurers on litigation strategy, statutory compliance, and emerging case law impacting Florida’s auto insurance landscape. While her trial-level practice is primarily focused on auto-related claims, she also handles appeals arising from first-party property disputes—such as water damage, roof damage, hurricane losses, and managed repair issues—offering appellate support and guidance on policy interpretation and claim valuation.

As Co-Chair of the Appellate Division, Abbi is frequently called upon to provide support at the trial level to preserve appellate rights, prepare dispositive motions, and handle all aspects of appellate briefing and oral argument. Her appellate work spans a wide range of insurance-related issues, including procedural matters, statutory interpretation, and constitutional challenges affecting the insurance industry.

In addition to her litigation practice, Abbi regularly conducts Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) in connection with questionable or potentially fraudulent claims. She is also approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services to teach continuing education courses for claims adjusters, and by The Florida Bar to present continuing legal education (CLE) seminars for attorneys.

Abbi is known for her depth of legal knowledge, practical litigation insight, and her ability to distill complex legal issues into persuasive, results-driven arguments at both the trial and appellate levels.
